Vines Band Booster Club |
The Booster club is a non-profit organization that works with the school administration and band directors to enhance the band program by providing financial assistance for supplies, services and equipment that is not funded by the district. Boosters also support the band by making available expert clinicians and off-site educational instruction to the students.
The Vines HS Band Booster club is 100% parent led. One of the biggest roles that Boosters play is providing volunteers to help with all the non-musical/non-educational pieces in the band program, such as Uniform Fitting, Chaperones & Equipment Movers for games and trips, Organizing and Feeding students prior to games and UIL events, Spirit Wear, Fundraising, Photographers, and Treasurer.
Helping the band is a great way to see "behind the scenes", understand how the band operates, and meet some great friends....all while supporting your kids do something they love! Watch how the directors empower the students to become their own leaders and delegate responsibilities.
It's never too early to get involved!
SHADOW A POSITION!
We need Freshmen parents to step up to "shadow" a position, starting in July/August, under Sophomore parents so that we can have a seamless transition the following year. Every position from the Executive Board and Chair Positions are available!
An Open Executive Booster Board Meeting will be held on February 3, 2026 - anyone interested in a shadow or full position is invited to attend!
We've even had 8th grade parents shadow some of our booster members before they ever had a kid at Vines just to understand what is involved so they can jump in when their student is a freshman. Being just a 2 year school, parents miss out on so much by just "watching" the first year and then only have 1 year to be involved.
We encourage everyone to sign up early and often so you don't regret missing anything!
